Units assigned / Deployments: I was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC for 12 of those years, assigned to various units within the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade including the 1/17 Air Cav. My service with the 82nd Airborne Division included deployments to Grenada in support of Operation Urgent Fury (1983), Saint Croix for Hurricane Hugo relief efforts (1988), Panama for Operation Just Cause (1989), and Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm (1990-1991). I also served a detail with the U.S. Army Recruiting Command in Simi Valley, CA. and ended my career with 6 years of duty in the 25th Infantry Division, Scofield Barracks, HI.
